To provide the greatest implementation flexibility, Datahaven supports the following database platforms:

• Microsoft SQL Server Express, Standard, or Enterprise (2000 or later). Please see Microsoft's published system requirements for SQL Server http://www.microsoft.com/sql/editions/standard/sysreqs.mspx
• Oracle (8i or later)
• Informix Dynamic Server (7 or later)

Database Implementation Options

Datahaven's support of multiple database platforms provides value and flexibility that allows you to create an architecture that dovetails with your application and its database platform. For example, you will have the flexibility to:

• Embed the Datahaven database schema within your application's database
• Create a separate database on the same database platform as your application or
• Create a separate database on a different database platform as your application.

The Datahaven repository provides enterprise-class scalability and enables your application to search any number of fields up to the table field limit number of the underlying database platform. Although Datahaven itself imposes no maximum file size, if database BLOB storage is used, then the maximum BLOB size is limited by the underlying database platform.
