A regional supply office of the United States Navy implemented Datahaven to digitize its supply and maintenance documentation for certain equipment. End users feed batches of supply documents into a workflow queue where the barcoded Document Number and National Item Identification Number (NIIN) are read, parsed, and associated (indexed) to the scanned image. The document is then automatically filed for future retrieval based on the supply form's Document Number. If a barcode is illegible, or in some cases nonexistent, the problem image is routed to a workflow queue where end users manually key the values in the system. |

A department of the Commonwealth of Virginia uses Datahaven to support its annual responsibility of processing of over 65,000 applications. Datahaven is Integrated with its existing Oracle database application running via 3270 terminals on an IBM AS/400 system and enables a full inbound and outbound enterprise faxing solution (RightFax) to process and accept faxed applications and other communications. The system has dramatically reduced the upfront processing and backend retrieval times for customer service related to the life cycle of certification, testing, notification, payment, renewal, stop action and cancellation. |
